Have you ever had a PC problem and the system either wouldn't power up or the CD-ROM drive would fail to work? If so, some CD-ROM drives allow you to manually extract the CD disc. Simply look at the front of the face for a small hole typically on the lower right bottom of the tray drawer. Once you have found this small hole, then take a paper clip and unbend it. Be sure to use a sturdy paper clip such as metal clip. Then using one end of the paper clip push in just about one inch and it should extract your CD-ROM.
I have used this method several times and it does work. I have never been shocked doing it either, but I have gotten my CD discs out when I need it.
