Changing A Linked Table Name
Access allows you to link multiple tables, but you can't change any data on a linked table. However, you can change the name of the linked table by creating an alias. Follow these steps:
- Select the linked table in the Database window, then press the F2 key.
- Type the new name.
Don't worry about the real table--you're not really changing the table's name, just creating an alias, and you see that alias only in the current database.
