Hiding A Specific Column
There may be times where you don't want Excel to chart columns of data where there is no data yet. For example, you have a budget running from January through December with a matching bar chart, but the months of November and December haven't arrived yet to include the data for June is incomplete. If you hide these noted columns, Excel will not attempt to plot them out and your chart will not only look better but show the accurate data. Follow these steps to hide and unhide columns:
- Select the column or range of columns you desire to hide.
- Then execute a Right-Click on the cell or range and select Hide.
- Then select Unhide when you have data to enter.
In performing this tip, you will only chart data that is relevant.
