Merge Cells To Center Headers
When you use a Header text in a cell that extends past the cell, it is quite difficult to center the Header. However, with Excel you can merge cells together and then get them centered to where the Header looks good. For an example, follow these steps:
- Run Excel.
- Type in a long header, then select all of the cells that your header spans. Try to type in a Header that spans at least three cells.
- Click the Merge and Center button (to the right of the Align Right button near default).
You should know see your Header text centered properly in the three cells.
