Add A Document Button To The Shortcut Title Bar
Office 2000 includes an Office Shortcut Title Bar (OSTB) that contains quick access buttons to your office applications including a new message, a new note, and much more. You can customize this OSTB and add other programs on it to include other Toolbars. However, you can add a quick access button to documents you use most often. It doesn't matter whether the document is an Excel spreadsheet or Word file, any office document will easily work. Just follow these steps:
- First Right-Click the OSTB, and select Customize.
- When the Customize dialog box opens, click the Buttons tab.
- Now, click Add File.
- When the Add File dialog opens, locate the file you want to add and double-click its icon.
- When you get back to Customize, click OK to close the dialog box and record your selection.
Your selected document button will now appear in the Office Shortcut toolbar. Remember any document that you work on regularly can now be quickly accessed. You can also do a Right-Click on the new document icon and select Properties to change your icon.
