Using The Auto Date Feature
Outlook's AutoDate feature allows you to use natural language in an Outlook item's date or time field, such as a task's Due Date field or an appointment's Start Time field. For example:
- Go to the Calendar in Outlook.
- Create a new appointment, by selecting New, Appointment.
- Tab to the Start Date block, then type Christmas with no quotes. Notice that the date will change to the 25th of December.
- Then tab to the time block, and type noon without quotes. The time changes to 12:00PM.
To check out this AutoDate feature in Outlook, try other holiday names and access the on-line help to find out more about this feature.
