Add A Column & View More
When you view a message in Outlook, you can see whether it has been read, who sent it, when it was received, how large the file size is, and so on. But what if that's not enough? If you want to know more information about your email messages just by looking at the Inbox, you need to add more columns. For example:
- Select View, Current View, Customize Current View.
- Click Fields. In the Available Fields box, click the field you want to add, and click Add.
- When you add optional views, it will shrink your columns, but you can always adjust you columns the same way you adjust your columns in Excel or Word. Just move your mouse up to the grid line where the name of the column resides such as Subject, Date, etc. Then when the plus sign appears, simply click, hold, and move left or right to increase or decrease your view.
- For instance, you may want to check out the sensitivity of the message by selecting that option allowing you to view the priority given to the message of either Normal, Personal, Private, or Confidential.
Check out the other view options to see which ones you prefer to use. Of course, you can select and unselect different view by simply checking or unchecking the desired view.
