Wide Screen Shows
If for some reason you want to display wide pictures in your slideshow, such as pictures for wide screen TV, you can. PowerPoint does let you resize your slide. For example:
- Choose File, then Page Setup.
- When the dialog box opens, leave the width as it is and change the height to 4 inches (just as an example). This may take a little experimentation to get it your desired way.
- Now, choose Insert, Picture, From File and insert the wide picture.
- This slide will appear on the screen looking much like the letterbox movies you see on TV.
By changing your slide setup's height, you can affect the aspect ratio and make the slide appear to be wide screen.
