Creating Dummy Text
Word can quickly creating a dummy text document in multiple pages by fill in words for you. This feature generates multiple paragraphs and sentences per paragraph with the following sentence: "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" as many times as you want. Just use the commands as follow:
- Open a new Word document, and type in the following command:
- p = the number of paragraphs that you desire (a limit of 200 is imposed).
- s = the number of sentences you desire for each paragraph (a limit of 99 is imposed).
I tried it using different numbers, 200 for p and 4 for s will get you 14 pages of text. The maximum numbers of 200 and 99 will provide you with 235 pages of dummy text. This would be handy for consistent test documents of a standard size.
