Place File Names and Path in Footers
In both XP/2003, you can place the filename and path to an Excel worksheet in the header or footer. Follow these steps for example:
- Select View, Header and Footer, Page Setup, Header/Footer.
- Click on the Custom Header or Custom Footer button.
- The button with the Folder icon adds the necessary code &[Path}&[File] to the selected area.
- By using this Customize procedure you can now add and image or format the text to your desired format.
Your worksheet will now print with the file path and name in your Header or Footer. This will change if the file's location changes as well.
